Fun With A Valentine Birthday

I made this pretty card for my Daughter In Laws birthday. She was born on Valentine’s Day and although I love Valentines Day, I also like to send cards that are Happy Birthday. Sort of like having your birthday on Christmas.

Su Mohr was the inspiration for this card. She does unique, beautiful work. Thanks Su!

Here are the products I used…

I hope you all had a Romantic and Wonderful Valentines Day. Love is in the Air!

Until next time…

Where did January go?

For all of you in the midst of a cold, snowy and icy winter, my thoughts are with you! Please take care! Here in San Diego, CA, we are having a cold snap of our own! I know, I know, cold snap? Well, yes, for us having the days be in the 50’s is a COLD snap! We are not used to it and don’t really have the needed clothing. But, personally, I am enjoying the cold and the rain (plus hail!).

I wanted to share something I just learned this morning. I probably saw it but never really read it. There are various symbols in your catalogs that really do mean something. For example, on page 12 of the January-June Mini Catalog, there is a small clock next to a card sample for the Floral Heart Dies included in the Love You Always Suite (155977). Also, page 43. This small clock indicates that it is a Quick project. Projects with this symbol will take “less time and are a good choice for making multiples of” to quote Stampin’ Up! Page 90 of the catalog explains all the small symbols throughout the catalog. I have been a demonstrator for 7 years and low and behold I never knew this. Granted these may be fairly new (I am going to look back at some of my old catalogs) but there is something to saying “I learned something new today!”

For all of my customers, February (really January and February this year) is a great time to join Stampin’ Up! as a demonstrator. Because it is Sale-A-Bration time you can receive extra perks. You can get $125 worth of product for $99. Also, you will receive a FREE gift from the upcoming catalog ~ an assortment of six 6″ x 6″ stacks of the newest Designer Series Paper. You get discounts on your orders as a demonstrator, previews of catalogs coming, pre-ordering before the general public gets to order items. Plus, you get a chance to connect with other very talented demonstrators in the Stampin’ Up! family! We are all considered family and cherish each and every one of the demonstrators in the worldwide community. Sale-A-Bration time also brings you some FREE items for every $50 purchase and $100 purchase. If you would like a copy of the Mini Catalog and the Sale-A-Bration catalog, let me know. You can view both by clicking on the picture on the right sidebar, or “Catalogs” at the top of the post. I would love for you to join my team and be able to take advantage of the fun and discount from Stampin’ Up!…click on “Join Me” or “Join the Fun” at the top. Questions? Don’t hesitate to ask about the perks.

Okay, here is a big change…if you are looking for the Whisper White cardstock and some related Whisper White products, you may notice they are not there! There is a good reason! Stampin’ Up’s white cardstock is no longer Whisper White. It is now Basic White. Here is a list of the new item numbers for the various products that have changed:

159276 Basic White 8-1/2″ x 11″ Cardstock $9.75

BASIC WHITE 8-1/2" X 11" CARDSTOCK

159229 Basic White 8-1/2″ x 11″ Thick Cardstock $8.75

BASIC WHITE 8-1/2" X 11" THICK CARDSTOCK

159231 Basic White 12″ x 12″ Cardstock $7.75

BASIC WHITE MEDIUM ENVELOPES

159233 Basic White 3″ x 3″ Envelopes $10.00

Believe me, the quality is the same! Stampin’ Up! is very concerned with quality, so you can be assured that this paper and envelopes are equal or better than the discontinued ones.

Hey Chick & Hey Birthday Chick Bundles

During Sale-A-Bration in 2017, Stampin’ Up! offered just the cutest stamp set called “Hey Chick“. Everyone was blown away by how much attention it got. Stampin’ Up! has decided to bring it back BUT with dies as a bundle! They brought in a completely new bundle this year, created in the same style, called “Hey Birthday Chick“. These two bundles are only available for a limited time starting February 1st. If you don’t own the Hey Chick Stamp Set, order the bundle. If you already own the stamp set, purchase the Chick Dies and the Hey Birthday Chick Bundle.

Here is what the original stamp set looked like. (Stamp set alone #158190 1$17.00).

The new dies are available separately or the stamp and dies as a BUNDLE(Item # 158627 $44.00). Separately dies are #159199 $32.00.

The Hey Birthday Chick (new this year) BUNDLE #158631 $43.00. Stamp set #154464 $21.00. Dies # 158200 $27.00.

As you can see, bundles are cheaper. You get 10% off the price of both ordered separately. Bundles are the best way to go! Here are some cute samples that Stampin’ Up! has made…

I have always loved these little chicks because I know a lot of cute chicks (gals) :).

Now, where are my Butterfly lovers? From March 2nd thru May 3rd, there is a fabulous Butterfly Brilliance Collection being offered. The price includes the Butterfly Brilliance Bundle, the Butterfly Bijou Designer Series Paper and the Natural Touch Specialty Paper.

The BUTTERFLY BRILLIANCE COLLECTION # 159408 is $71.25 (this includes all pictured above – stamp, die, Designer Paper, and Specialty Paper). The Stamp and Die Bundle #155821 is $54.75. Stamp alone # 155092 for $17.00. Dies alone #155523 is $44.00. BUTTERFLY BIJOU 6 x 6 Designer Paper #156824 for $11.50 (48 sheets of patterned paper: 8 each of 6 double-sided designs). The NATURAL TOUCH SPECIALTY PAPER #156825 for $5.00 ( 2 12 x 12 sheets of a textured, pale wood grain that you can stamp on, emboss it, and use it with dies.)

Well that is all for today. There is a lot of information here, but it is exciting information! So until next time,

Be kind to one another and make time for Creating With Paper.
