Ghosts, Goblins & the Garden of Eden?

Now if that isn’t a weird combination, I don’t know what is! But that is what is happening!

Let’s get the business out of the way ~ the FUN business by the way! Let’s go into the Garden of Eden! That would be spooky, don’t you think?

The tale of the Garden of Eden transcends the boundaries of a single belief system. Numerous accounts and adaptations of Eden’s events have appeared in Christianity, Judaism, Islam, legends and lore, ancient mythology, and more! No matter how the story is shared, the essence of Eden remains the same: it’s a place of paradise. Filled with fruitful and flourishing foliage, stillness and serenity, and an air of mystery, Eden is an ethereal utopia!

Enter and explore Eden with the Eden’s Garden Collection! This delightful and desirable collection includes early-release products from the January–June 2022 Mini Catalog—a bundle of stamps and dies that’s blooming with beauty and bounty. Plus, exclusive products you can’t uncover anywhere else—a pack of paper patterned with green and gold, a set of specialty sheets for gift-giving and textured touches, and a sparkling set of gleaming gems!

Just as the timeless tale can be told in a variety of versions, these paradisical products can be used to create projects for any occasion—and they make the perfect papercrafting companion. Now, what was I saying about Ghosts and Goblins? Halloween is just about 2 weeks away! What are you going as? Accompanying your trick or treaters? Please share your cute pictures with all of us! I haven’t been diligent about Halloween cards per se, but I did use Brenda Quintana’s treat box idea for my next Sunday Craftin’ Gals Gathering! It will be fun what they come up with as far as decorating the front of the card. In decorating our home for Halloween, I found some older projects that I did with retired Stampin’ Up! products. I look back on them every year and just love seeing them. Our Grandkiddos would sometimes be able to come down from the Sacramento area and celebrate with us here. We had a blast and the couple years they came, it was booming with little ones asking for the Trick or Treat in our neighborhood. Normally we get quite a few children, but not like it was those years. Our 3rd Granddaughter, Norah was born on Halloween which made it more special! Birthday and Halloween ~ Woo Hoo! The night she was born, Dad took her two older sisters Trick or Treating that night for sure!

One of my dear friends made a darling card for a swap, and I am just waiting for some paper to re-create it in the next week or so! We had such a busy September that Halloween sort of got past me! Here is Mary Beth’s card…

Isn’t it just the cutest? Here are some of my past Halloween projects…many of course are retired stamps, dies, etc.

Well, if you are interested in any Stampin’ Up! ideas, projects or just more information, please contact me and maybe you would like to be part of my Team? I would love to be your demonstrator. Click on Join the Fun at the top or Join Me in the sidebar! Hope you will come some time to my Sunday Craftin’ Gals Gathering if you are a local San Diegan! Ask me about it!

Until then…

Autumn! Colors, Coolness, a bit of Whimsy, and Peace!

Welcome to September! Wow! I am always glued to the TV with all the specials from 9/11 every year, but this year, I had to really prepare mentally for the 20th Anniversary. Do you remember what you were doing or where you were at on that fateful day? What a day of remembrance!

That being said, this is the month of Autumn! My favorite season besides Christmas which really isn’t a nature season, but it is a season! Right? I do like Winter too! Living in San Diego, we don’t really see changing leaves to the extent of most other places. We do have some trees that change color, but I do long for the landscape everywhere to be a burst of golds, reds, oranges and greens.

There are a number of glorious papers in the July-December Mini Catalog that reflect what Autumn is all about! The Blackberry Beauty Designer Series Paper (#156458) is bursting with golds, deep blackberry, gold and browns. It is integrated with some gold foil elements which make it even prettier! It is part of the Blackberry Beauty Suite (#156278).

Also, check out Harvest Meadow Designer Paper (#156494) part of the Harvest Meadow Suite Collection (#156280). It bursts with Harvest, Autumn colors!

Are You looking for some inspiration?  Look no further.  Check out this Adorable Pumpkin Card.  It uses the Pretty Pumpkins bundle (156478).  I love the combination of Rich Razzleberry, Blackberry Bliss, Pumpkin Pie, Cajun Craze, and Old Olive.  The water color background paired with Staz On black ink make the colors pop.  The pumpkin becomes a key focal point when placed on top of the vellum.  Add a little Blackberry Bliss ribbon and Old Olive vines to make it pop even more.  I can’t wait for you to try your hand at making this card!

I think this Autumn color wheel shows it all…it is from Country Living, but I wanted to let you all know that Stampin’ Up! has all of the colors! Blackberry Bliss, Cajun Craze, Pumpkin Pie, Cinnamon Cider, Crushed Curry or Bumblebee, Gray Granite, Old Olive, Mossy Meadow or Evening Evergreen, Soft Succulent, Misty Moonlight and Basic Gray!

Sale-A-Bration continues through September 30th. It is such a great way to earn free product for your purchases. For every $50.00 spent, you qualify for a free item. The more you purchase – $50 or $100, there are products you can get free. Your order can be from the July-December (actually this year it will go to January 3, 2022) Mini Catalog or the Annual Catalog. Don’t forget about the Annual Catalog! It has a boat load of great projects, stamps, dies and more!

Stampin’ Up has a unique program called the Bundle Focus Program. Every month, they give the demonstrators tools to use to share these bundles. Videos, samples, etc. to share with our customers. I am starting to feature these also. The first one I will be featuring is the Evergreen Elegance Bundle (page 91 in the Annual Catalog). Here is the video of a couple of the projects they have made for this lovely bundle. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mTWgqnB-ZaM . So join me in trying out this bundle. I will be getting an online class together in October.

Last Sunday I held my Sunday Craftin’ Gal’s Gathering and I challenged my gals. Sharon Armstrong had a demo of using the ink refills with lots of water and making pumpkins out of the various colors! I loved the way hers turned out so I definitely wanted to try the technique. It was a bit intimidating at first, but we all ended up having a grand time and amazed at how unique and beautiful each persons came out! I want to do a HUGE shout out to Sharon for the fabulous idea. We basically CASE’d her card to the tee, except of course for the various colors in each of the pumpkins. This was my sample card. The white marks are the reflection as the pumpkins are embossed with clear embossing powder and they really take on a beautiful life. I used Pretty Pumpkins Bundle for this card. For more details visit my Stampin’ Up! site.

Next I had them dry embossing on vellum for a Christmas card CASE’d from Diana Langman of My Stamp Nook. Her original was done with a subtle crumb cake, but I fell in love with the idea of the card. So, we had fun making my version of the card.

I am loving the unique color of pink for Christmas. Very soft and feminine. For this project I used Merriest Moments Bundle, and the Poinsettia Dies. See my site on Stampin’ Up! for more info.

Well, that is all for today. I am working at adding this blog or a similar type thing to the Demonstrator Business Web Site so you can all keep up with my projects. Visit my site : https://creatingwithpaper.stampinup.net. Thanks for visiting my blog today. Until next time…
