TGIF! The final three today!

Happy Friday!

Even being retired, there is something magical about Fridays!  I suppose it will always be a day of excitement for the weekend, even though my husband and I say that sometimes it feels like every day is Friday.  Hey we certainly aren't knocking the retired life.  We love it!  He is semi-retired, but we consider it being retired.  Freedom is what we cherish the most.

So today, I am showing off the last three Display Board cards from my Catalog Launch Lunch that I held last Sunday.  It was truly a wonderful day, and I know I have said it before, these ladies are my life line!  Everyone of them is worth their weight in gold.  Love to you all!

My first card is another Catalog Case.  I really have taken advantage of the ideas in the catalog because for my Launch, the ladies were looking at the catalog.  This gave them an actual card to touch and feel.  I called it my Wedding Wishes card, and you will see why…I am not that original!  Ha!

It was an easy card, but I think it turned out lovely.  I hadn't used the Detailed Floral Thinlits in a while, so my cutting wasn't as precise as I would have liked.  But when you are under pressure, you stick with what you get!  (smiley face emoji!)  Here are the supplies:

Next card I called my "Miss Piggy" card.  This stamp set caught my eye at On Stage in April.  Pigs are cute and this one just made my heart smile.  My inspiration was Rose Grunewald of Country Cards by Rose.  She displayed the card on pinterest, and I felt the sentiment is very appropriate for women today.

We women haven't hit the glass ceiling yet, but I see it in the near future!  This little Miss Piggy kept up her hope and she did it!  I got some Watercolor Paper and attempted my artistic ability with the inks.  I will get better with time.  Her supplies:

The ribbon is Pool Party Woven Ribbon that has been retired.  I still love it, but other colors would go just as nice.

Next, I made a Birthday Shadow Box card.  I showed one in my blog dated 5/24/17.  They are so unique and easy once you get your measurements right.  This one I am showing all 3 layers..I have to say, the flower and stem and the Happy Birthday on the front are from the retired stamp set That's The Tag.

As I said before, I want to make more of these – there are so many possibilities.  Splitcoast Stampers has a great tutorial for making the box.  My original idea came from Melanie Joyner at Joy-Stampin in Denmark.  Here are the supplies for this sweet kitty happy birthday:

Well, that is all of the cards I made for my Display Board.  Whew!  I was a busy bee the week before my Launch.  Busy, yes, but it is exactly what I needed to get my mojo back.  Thank goodness.  If you wish to recreate any of these cards, click on the picture of the supply you need and it will take you directly to my store.  If you order less than $150.00 worth of product, be sure to use:

If you order more than $150.00 you will earn Stampin' Rewards and they start at $15.00 worth of product for your $150.00 purchase.

So, next week I will share more cards that I am going to work on over the weekend.  Until we meet again, be kind to one another and make time for Creating With Paper!

As promised ~ display board cards – here is #4 and #5!

Happy Throw Back Thursday!

I am not going to throw anything back, but had to greet you all in some sort of cute way. (hmmm, emoji!).  First today, I wanted to show you my Daisy Tri Shutter Card.  I saw all sorts of these on Pinterest and You Tube, and followed Niki Ridges site Stampin' With Glittermum.  She did a couple Daisy cards, so thought that would be a good way to show the Daisy bundle to my group.  My biggest disappointment though was that the Punch to the bundle is back ordered until the end of June!  Aarrggh!  Oh well, several people have wanted it and are willing to wait until we can order again.  Niki's directions were pretty clear, except she didn't give too many measurements.  But I managed to CASE her card pretty close.

Here are all the supplies used for this card:

OOPS!  I forgot to include the Colorful Seasons Stamp for the sentiment!  So sorry – it is #143726 but it is part of a bundle (#145348) in the new Catalog.  Remember, bundles when available reduce the price 10%.

As complicated as this looks, it really wasn't.  Since I used my own measurements for the Designer Series Paper and Card Stock on the squares, I just measured each block and if there was a Card Stock background, I measured 1/4" less than the original square and if Designer Series Paper in addition, it was cut 1/4" less than the Card Stock background.  Likewise, if there was just Designer Series Paper on the square (okay, some are rectangles..geesh) that was measured 1/4" smaller than actual square measurement.

AND, for your enjoyment #5!  This had to be my absolute favorite sample card that I made.  For one thing, it matches our kitchen colors AND decor!  We have towels, canisters, pot holders and utensil jar with "happy chefs".  We also get a calendar every year and the pictures are just precious!  A huge shout out to Jackie Aitken of Jaxx Crafty Creations for the sample I got the inspiration from.  She did hers in all black and white, but as soon as I saw it I said "kitchen colors"…

I just love the way it looks like he is "squirting" out "Happy Birthday" in icing on the front.  Here are the supplies for this Happy Birthday card:

Crumb Cake Stampin' Write Marker

I also used red and white bakers twine that was left over from Christmas!

If you would like to make these cards and need any of the supplies, just click on the picture and it will take you to my ordering site.  Share your creations, please!  All of us work so hard on our cards that if we inspire you to make one exact or similar, we always like to see them.  Just remember to give credit for your inspiration.  That is important for all of us!  I love having my creations CASE'd, but I also like to know that it was me who inspired you.  Most of my cards are NOT original designs of mine.  I don't have that much creativity in me, but when someone else has designed a card that I love and make, I make sure I give them credit.

If you do place an order on my site, be sure to use:
June 2017 hostess code
If you order more than $150.00, don't use this code – you will earn Stampin' Rewards that start at $15.00!!!

Well that is all for today; tune in tomorrow for a Wedding Card CASE'd pretty closely from who?  The Stampin' Up! 2017-18 Catalog!  I know several groups that have Catalog Case get togethers.  I think that is a pretty darn good idea!  I did that for our make and take!  Shhhh, don't tell anyone!  He He!

Until tomorrow, be kind to one another and make time for Creating With Paper!
