Dec 3, 2016 | Cards - Christmas & Winter |
Michelle here wishing everyone a Happy Saturday!
The weather here in So. Cal has been what we call "chilly". Don't laugh, because in San Diego, well when it gets below 70, we are cold! Plus the nights really are getting down to the low 50's so we are putting the flannel sheets on and a couple nights have had to use the heater!
In keeping with trying to stay warm, I made a little sweater card out of our wonderful Cable Knit Embossing Folder. That is one folder I have used a lot and love the results every time! At a craft show recently, I saw a cute tree decoration that was a sweater and had to get it! Our Den tree has quite a collection of cute little sweater ornaments, but they are not in the Ugly Sweater category that is for sure. Anyway, got home one day and planned on making a card out of one of the little ornaments that I purchased!

It really reminds me of my college days – turtlenecks and belted sweaters..I am dating myself! Here is what I used to create my sweater card…
Product List
If you would like to make this easy peasy little sweater card or make it a tree ornament, just click on any of the products you see here and you can purchase them from my Stampin' Up! site. Remember the December Hostess Code when you check out!

So, I wanted to keep you all posted on our massive decorating project we undertake every year. Here is a couple pictures from last night when Bill (my super creative hubby) turned on our lights. Granted, there was more being done today, but he had the majority of the lights up. Here are a couple pictures – hope I am not boring you – just so proud of my hubby – he works so hard doing this every year and it is mostly for the children of the neighborhood and our Grandkids. All the neighbors ask for it every year, and he just keeps doing it bigger and better every year. I tease him sometimes that we are on the verge of tacky…nahh…

That is all for today – tomorrow I will have another cute project to show you and will show off my Kitchen tree…did I say we go all out? Yep, we do, but have a blast doing it!
Be kind to one another and make the time to have fun and do some Creating With Paper!

You can save up to 60% on stamp sets, dies, embossing folders, paper, card stock, ribbons, and of course those all important embellishments! Some of the items are from the annual catalog that were overstocks and they will return to regular pricing once the sale ends on Jan 3rd, 2017. Others are from the Holiday catalog and past catalogs. Most of the items are "As Supplies Last" so don't dilly dally if you want to get any of these fantastic bargains. They are all listed here so check them out ~ just Click Here

If you remember, Wednesday I posted a "Pop Up and Twist" card (although the name was different). As promised, I was going to attempt a Snowman Pop and Twist card. So, I watched a YouTube presentation from "MayMay Made It" where she designed a Snowman card. I LOVED it! Made my first one yesterday and wanted to share it with you all.

It starts out simple…

Then, POW! Isn't he just the cutest??? Here are the products I used:

| | 1/4" Circle Handheld Punch [134364] $9.00 | | |
A scrap of tangerine tango for his nose and some Alphas I had in my stash were also used. Note: The Black Glimmer Paper, Handheld Punch and the Stamp set are retired, sadly. However, there are two punches (Owl Builder and Cookie Cutter) that have small circles intended for eyes. His mouth was drawn free hand. I just had a blast making him…Thank You MayMay for the inspiration! I am now thinking maybe Santa? Or Mrs. Claus? The possibilities are endless!
Quick note before I go…if you place an order remember to use the December Code!

Well that is all for today! Have a great rest of the week and weekend! Be kind to one another and make the time for some Creating With Paper!

I value all orders placed via my Stampin' Up! site and want the chance to thank each and every one of you. If you select "No Contact" when you place an order, I don't have any contact information for you.
Now, as many of you know, I love vintage cards, mixed media projects and 3d projects. I had this kit from one of my favorite designers Ginny Nemchak of Polly's Paper since 2013! It was one of the first kits I ever ordered from her. Well, let's just say, that I was tagging everything last week! Not tagging in the destructive way, but in Ginny's way. I had so much fun making these tags and I still had some left over product to make a couple more! I just wanted to share with you my other world of paper crafting.

The tags are embellished with sparkle and glitz, but it didn't come through very well on the pictures. They are very fun and festive! I admit that I case'd these almost exactly like her examples – always has this way of churning up my creativity if I have an example. These are going to make great little ornament gifts for several of my paper peeps.
Thanks for checking out my blog and supporting my passion of paper crafting. More Christmas ideas coming in the next few weeks. If you are anything like me, I will be doing projects up until Christmas Day! I already have a great idea for a New Years Eve project. Oh, and pictures of our ongoing inside our home decorating project soon! Must get more boxes out! Oof!
Take care everyone, be kind to one another and make sure you take time to do some Creating With Paper!
